Summary

Ancient Israel took their focus off of Christ the Lamb and focused on the ritual lamb. They focused on ritual until they believed that the ritual was a means of salvation in it self. They therefore failed to focus the world around them on Christ and be the spiritual light of the world as God had intended. Christ the true Sacrificial Lamb came and illustrated by His life what it means to live a true Christian life and be a light unto the world. Christ succeeded where Israel had failed. Remember the IF you "walk before me" and the "be thou perfect" THEN "I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly" Genesis 17:1&2.

Christ has fulfilled the conditions, He walked continuously before His Father and was indeed perfect and so now we, through His merits, can meet the conditions also. We can, in Christ, become a part of His seed, which has been multiplied exceedingly, and will inherit the promised land flowing with milk and honey.

Once again a large group of people are missing the spiritual application of a Bible truth because they are looking for a literal fulfillment.

My friend, take your focus off of modern Israel and place it full on Christ. As the refrain of that beautiful song goes, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face; And the things of this earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace."

Focus on spiritual Israel. FOCUS ON CHRIST!
