March Camping Trip

Our Pathfinder club went camping at Cohutta Springs Camp on the weekend of March 12 - 14. .

The Pathfinders stayed in cabins, which is very unusual for our club. Normally we camp in tents and it rains most of the weekend, if not all.

The Pathfinders provided and prepared their own food. A number of our little campers baked bread in reflector ovens and cooked over the fire for the first time. This proved to be good training and a fun experience.

This camping trip was rainy and cold, but at least there was no snow. When they weren't cooking or cleaning up after cooking, the Pathfinders participated in putting on a church program. Some of the kids came up with a skit to present to the group. The Pathfinders watching this skit were to guess what it was about. We also had a song service and "Aunt Pams" story hour, when Mrs. Tuttle read to the club. In the afternoon we went canoeing. Everyone who participated in this camping trip had a good and memorable time. No camping trip with Pam Tuttle as director could ever be called monotonous.
