Subject: News from Jamaica

Hi Dean,

This will probably be our last contact before we fly back to the states as it has been difficult to locate a computer. A Maranatha representative has been here twice with a laptop that he has permitted me to use.We save the message until he finds a phone connection and he then sends it.

The construction has been coming along very rapidly and everyone has worked together very well. It is too large a project for one group to complete but another group will follow our group.

Today was an excursion day. We went to Ocho Rios for shopping and to Dunn River Falls for sightseeing. It was a very enjoyable day and we were able to see more of Jamaica. Hope to have some nice pictures and interesting experiences to share when we return.

Tomorrow will be our last full work day and Friday will be a partial work day and a clean up day. On Sabbath I will be speaking at the Buff Bay church and we will have a choir from the volunteers that will sing twice for the service.

The Jamaicans seem to be a gracious and happy people. Last Sabbath, the volunteers were split into four groups and each group attended a different church. Adventist churches are not very far apart on the island. From the camp where we are stay-ing, to the project site, which is about a forty minute drive, we pass four Adventist churches. Most everyone seems to know something about the Adventist.

Please have everyone to continue praying for the project and for a safe return for all the Volunteers. We will be bussed back to Kingston on Sunday and fly home on Monday.

Greetings to everyone,

J. Don Crook
