Hi everyone!
Well we finished another week--a nice SHORT one, and are halfway through parent/teacher conferences
right now. We had a couple hours for it tonight, and will have a couple more tomorrow. Therefore we had no
school today and we won't have it tomorrow and THAT is the greatest blessing ever. I only had three mothers
come see me tonight, and of course it was the students that are really good and are getting A's. Go figure.
Why is it always that way??
I guess because they actually care. I don't know if I'll get any more tomorrow, but
there's always grading to be done in that time of sitting in my classroom, so it works out fine. It's just so weird
that I'M the one having the conference, when I still clearly remember accompanying my mom to those same
conferences back in grade school! Things have definitely switched around.
I took one of the other SM's digital camera with me to class on Wednesday, and took a bunch of pictures
so that I could send them to you all! I figured everyone probably wonders what my kids look like, so we took
some inside, and then I took them outside for a few as well. (We didn't have time for spelling this week, so
that took care of that time slot).
The first 3 are from my class, and the other 3 are of the other class. The first
picture is of (from front left) Peren, Jacob, Irene, and Ryan. The second picture is me, Irene, Mersein &
Detrick in the back, and Peren and Vellissa in the front. The third is my entire class. You probably don't want
all the names on that one. :O)
The next picture is in the smaller classroom next door, with Yasuro, Frankie,
Christy (next to me on left), Alex (in front), Cherish, and Amber.
Sitting on the sidewalk (going clockwise) is
Herpelynn, Christy, Chad, Cherish and Amber.
And then there's a group shot of that class as well. I have a
bunch more pictures that I took, so over the next week I'll send a couple at a time--that way nobody's email
box gets overloaded! :O)
We're leaving to go camping around noon tomorrow, so I'll have a nice relaxing weekend. Sooo glad. Hope
