What's Happening in Youth

Frequent Events

Sabbath School is at 10:05 A. M. every Saturday morning at the McDonald Road Church's Youth room. The church's address is 5440 McDonald Road, McDonald, Tennessee 37353. About every month, the youth class attempts to meet for a social to enjoy food, games, and social. Bringing in Christmas

A few weeks before Christmas, the Youth met at the Youth room to decorate for the holiday season and to socialize. The first order of business was eating. Everyone brought something to eat, helping to foster a relaxed feeling about the evening. Setting up and decorating the Christmas tree and other decorations came next. A “grinch was even present at the event, although this particular grinch was not intent on destroying peole's holiday but instead on making it even more joyous. After the decorating came some games. People separated into small groups and spent the rest of the evening enjoying more socializing. The evening was a great success and allowed the class to remember the true reason for Christmas. Taking Out Christmas

Although Chrismtas was a wonderful time, every time, both good and bad, must come to an end; so with Christmas at Youth. A few weeks before spring break, the Youth met again to take down Christmas and put it away for another year. Again, the evening started with food. The food sustained the members through the experience of taking down another Christmas's decorations. Once the decorations were in the closet, everyone gathered in groups to talk and play games. Spending time with each other made the class more thoughtful of each other and more of a team.
