First day of construction, every body is ready to go after a good night's sleep.
What we didn't look forward to was the heat; it was miserable.
Even the locals said it was really hot.
Our group didn't do much building that day. We mostly laid things out, got the wood, that is new but it behaves like its 50 years old cause it's hard as a rock, and started building later.
At noon, we stopped to eat lunch. And that's as long as the locals want to work before it gets too hot. All the food is really good, so every one can't wait to eat.
That afternoon, we went to see the Mayan city ruins of Xunantunich. It was so cool to be standing on something that is 1100 years old. We were there for 2 hours before everyone left. After that, we all drove over to where there are some little shops. They mostly sold trinkets and some other items.
A little later, we went to an ice-cream shop called Cayo Twist, that has the best ice-cream on the planet. The most popular flavor among us was Chocolate-Raspberry, which was really good.
As the afternoon came to a close, we went back to the hospital so we could get ready for Sabbath.

The Ruins
We went to visit some mayan ruins.
On Friday, the second day we were there, we got up, ate breakfast, and started working on our house. Today was an easy day for us because all we were doing was measuring, marking, and cutting the lumber. After our grouling day at work, we took some time to have some fun. We went to go see the Mayan ruins Xunantunich...aka xhiodajiodhoitkldisada. The ruins were amazing! It was so hot that day and the climb was long but the view from the top was so worth it (you could even see the border between Belize and Guatemala). After we saw the Mayan ruins we went to the most amazing ice cream place called Cayo Twist. It is soy ice cream but it is the best you will ever have! You would never guess that it's soy. That was our second day!!
