A New Way to Budget
Hosted by: Kristin Zavala and Friends
This is not your typical budget… see your income and spending in a way that will give you quick results to help you reach your financial goals. No matter your income, learn ways to get out of debt and be prepared for expected and unexpected expenses. This is beneficial for any age and can easily be adjusted to fit your needs. You must bring a laptop with a spreadsheet program. (Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers).
Hosted by: Sherry Hines
Enjoy some fun and fellowship as we explore various expressions of art. Come discover your hidden artistic talents. Many of you enjoyed this creative opportunity last fall. Come take your creativity to the next level.
My One Word (Book and DVD Study)
Hosted by: Various Teachers
he concept of My One Word is simple. Lose the long list of resolutions — all your sweeping promises to change — and do something about one thing this year instead of nothing about everything. Chose just one word that represents what you most hope God will do in you, and focus on it for an entire year. This single act will force clarity and concentrate your efforts. As you focus on your word over and extended period of time, you position yourself for God to form your character at a deep, sustainable level. Growth and change will result.
Reach and Maintain Your Optimal Weight
Hosted by: Cornell du Plessis
Diets don’t work… they tend to be unsustainable and cause feelings of deprivation and sacrifice. Reaching and maintaining optimal weight is a lifestyle. It isessential to come to a comprehensive understandingabout weight loss issues such as metabolic disorder, the futility of calorie counting, dietary supplements, and more effective ways of exercising. If your New Year’s resolution is to lose a few pounds and get fitter, healthier and stronger, join us. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a study on herbal supplements that boost metabolism. Let’s not carry around the dead weight of 2017. Here’s to a lighter, brighter and more energetic 2018!
Hosted by: Bob Bolton
We will explore relief carving. It’s generally used for nature scenes.
For decorative stools. I use it for mementos to my grandchildren. I will bring some materials and ideas. Each person can be creative from that point on.
Headbands for Africa
Hosted by: Arlene Lewis
The Southern Students want to take as many headbands as they can again this year on their mission trip to Africa. You can help! Come enjoy some fellowship as you crochet or knit. There will be crochet hooks, knitting needles and yarn, available, or bring your favorites. The sizes are from child to adult women. The headbands need to be turned in by Sabbath, February 24th, 2018. Please place them in the Samaritan Center Chest in the Church Lobby.
